Here are just a few of the things from this year that I am thankful for. I got to marry my best friend ever; we subsequently had an incredible honeymoon in the Riviera Maya. This man got his other best friend in May (my Dood, Winslow), and he makes me laugh every day that I see him. LifeChurch opened their NW OKC campus, and we truly feel like it is home for us. We are blessed financially. Emily has made our house feel like a home, and I love walking through the door. We found an awesome LifeGroup, and we are all becoming authentic friends as we learn what it means to Mud It In. I have some fantastic in-laws, and they recently took us on a relaxing trip to beautiful Big Cedar Lodge at Table Rock Lake. Work just gets better all the time, and I love the job I do and the guys I work with more and more every day. The list could go on and on.
Most importantly, though, I am beginning to realize who I really am and what I am really meant for. Every day, God is teaching me more and more about what is most valuable in the small amount of time we have on Earth. I am so thankful for everything in my life, and as Dave Ramsey says, “I’m better than I deserve.”
Good Stuff John, it’s great to see you blogging! You and Emily are an amazing couple, it reminds me that I need to have your prep for marriage class over sometime for dinner.
